Zeenat & Taahir - Wedding

On Sunday I photographed the wedding of Zeenat to Taahir. This was my first non-Christian wedding, so it was so interesting to see the customs and traditions at this wedding! Also, it was without a doubt a really lavish affair! Wherever you looked was draping, white, pink and silver... Then, there were splashes of the most beautiful colours on the sari's of the women there! Wow! The colours were amazing!
Zeenat and Taahir, I wish you many years of wedded bliss!

Theuns, Corne, Carmen & Conrad - Newborn Family Shoot

I always love Newborn Shoots - I mean, who wouldn't??!! It is just so inspiring to see the new life, so perfect and so pure... it never ceases to leave me in wonder!

Corne and Theuns' love for their family is evident and I hope that I was able to capture memories for them that they will treasure for always!

On a personal note... there is nothing much personal going on!! Ha ha!! I have been posting so many photos lately that I actually have nothing new or interesting to say.

In the meantime, I hope that your Festive Season remains safe, happy and full of love!

Jeremy, Kerri & Brooklyn - Family Shoot

Wow! Another photo shoot - I am so blessed to have so much interest in my photography!
This family shoot was slightly different, in that the majority of my work is with younger children. Brooklyn is definitely an individual, and it was so amazing to see how full of life and ideas he was! I cannot believe he's only 6 years old, he seemed so much older!

Thank you Kerri for working with me - your family is wonderful and I can see how much love you and Jeremy have for Brooklyn! And thank you Brooklyn for working with me when I asked, I know it isn't always easy to have a strange lady with a camera follow you around!!

On a personal note I am still tired... But I suppose this is what it feels like to be a mom! Always on a go! Malakai is doing just fantastically - doing new things almost every day! It is amazing to see his strength of character, and how (at only 4 months) he is so sure of what he likes and dislikes! He loves to sit up (although I have to still support him quite a bit), and he just absorbs every sight and sound around him like a little sponge. I am seeing the world through my son's eyes, and it is amazing!

Tinus, Wendy & Keagan - Family Shoot

I have been a busy-busy lady!

I had the pleasure of photographing Tinus, Wendy and their little boy Keagan on yesterday! I am so happy that I can give them these pictures - I think that they came out really beautifully!

Thank you for choosing me to take pictures of your family - I am always humbled and blessed when a family chooses me to represent who they are in pictures.
On a personal note, we are about 2 weeks from Christmas. I must say I am not feeling very "Christmas-sy", but I am sure that has something to do with going back to work, dealing with being away from my child for the first time in his life, and feeling quite tired... But I am also so grateful that I am blessed with a healthy son, a wonderful marriage and amazing husband, supportive and loving family, loyal and thoughtful friends, and a comfortable home that rises up to meet me as I walk through the door after every day. A person cannot want for any more than this - I am blessed. I am blessed. I am blessed.

Louise & her family!

I have been very busy over the past few weeks and so I am very late in posting this shoot (which I actually did LAST Sunday already!)...

Another big family shoot which was great fun! Another family that has travelled a rocky road this year, as many of us have. I learn as I do this job that every family has a story, every person has a unique life that needs to be celebrated and revered.

As I meet more and more families I learn that the most important things in life cannot be bought, they can only be given by those that love us and those and we love in return. It will not be the huge house, or big-screen TV that we turn to one day when we are in need of love and understanding - it will be to those we love. This is what matters most in life.
