Nanditha & Meetesh - Maternity Shoot

Last weekend I did a Maternity shoot for Nanditha and Meetesh. I have had mostly family shoots lately, so photographing these two was so much fun!!

Photographing children takes a certain amount of creativity (and sometimes bribery LOL)... and the pictures are so worth the effort! Photographing adults is different, because I can ask for the person to move slightly or face a certain direction - so it is easier to negotiate, but then the difficulty lies in 'natural' shots, because adults tend to be more 'camera-shy'.

So each kind of photo shoot offers up different challenges! But the natural-style pictures that I get out of them are worth it!!

So it was really refreshing to work with Nanditha and Meetesh this last weekend, after many many family shoots with kiddos running rampant!

I LOVE the pictures where Nanditha is wearing the dress - they are definately my favourites!

Keaton's 1 Year Birthday Party

Now... I don't usually photograph kiddies birthday parties - but for my good friend Megan I will do anything! And I had a really good time doing it!

Megan really took the Noddy-Theme and made it look so fantastic - a wonderland for all the little ones that attended the party (including my little hooligan!).

Tova's Family Shoot

So 2009 is finally kicking off! My first photo shoot of 2009 was with a wonderful (and big) family! I must say I was daunted to photograph Tova’s family, but it actually went off without a hitch and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!

I have so many pictures, and can’t put them all here... so I chose ones of the children (who were absolutely gorgeous!!) and the different family groups.

Thank you Tova for contacting me! Tova is related to Adina and Yoni that I photographed last year when they were out from Israel. Again... I love this work! I get to meet whole families! Across generations, across continents and even hemispheres!

I have learned that our Global Community is getting smaller, closer and is more interlinked than we believe. What we do here affects people across the globe and visa versa.

Family is Strong. Family is Love. Family is Life.

Ferreira Family Shoot

Seasons Greetings!! I hope that 2009 brings all the goodness and joy that everyone so deserves!

I have had a wonderful holiday and some time off with my little family over December and because of this I have been very lazy uploading my last photo shoot from last year - so sorry Claire!!!!

I am so glad to have photographed the Ferreira family again! That is joy of my job - getting to see families grow and change, new additions and babies turing into toddlers! What a blessing - thank you for allowing me this honour!

I am truly excited about this New Year - new, fresh, magical, exciting, and sometimes scary... I know it will be life changing!
